Our Needs
We intend to partner with donors and development agencies who share in our vision to support and build the necessary capacity for these under privileged children to improve upon their lives by providing the following:
Training pitch
We are negotiating with the Chief of Kwashieman, a suburb of Accra to use the community playing pitch as the training grounds for the boys. This if accepted will need to be given a face lift to get it to an acceptable standard. This if done, will also be the donors’ contribution to the development of Kwashieman Park and the community as a whole. The donor(s) will be allowed to brand the pitch. Alternative arrangement is being made as a contingency.
Jerseys
A set of two jerseys each will be needed by the under 12s, under 14s, under 17s and under 19s. This makes a total of 8 sets (complete with hose) for each season. 4 sets of training bibs will also be required for the groupings
Footballs
A total of 40 footballs will be needed. 10 for each group
Training Boots
A total of 120 pairs of gym boots for trainings and 120 pairs of match boots will be needed
Goal Nets
2 sets of goal nets will be needed
Technical training in the game (rules and regulations)
Workshops and on the pitch practical training and coaching will be administered by the coaches attached from FFAF.
Training allowances
Each player will be given an allowance that will cover his transport for attending training. This is to make sure they avail themselves to the programme.
Meal support for guardian or family to make sure the players are well fed
We intend to periodically support the families of the players with items such as rice, cooking oil etc to encourage their wards to avail themselves to the programme.
Basic Educational : Payment of school fees, subsidies for books, uniform etc
We intend to assist the parents of the players in providing for their education whilst pursuing football as a career.
Mentoring and counselling sessions to get them focused
Career counselling sessions and mentoring will be given through visitation to the homes of the players and interactions with retired, professional and accomplished players as role modeling.
